hi Treet - i have cold urticaria that is very severe - it's how i found out i have SLL. i'm not sure if there's a connection so i can't say one way of the other, my allergist has me currently on Singulair to see if it can be alleviated in some way. what type of urticaria do you have and what are you taking for it? are you seeing an allergist and speaking to your onologist and team about it?
Welcome to the site Treet, I noticed you only joined today. I've added a previous post on hives which may help you.
Reading the postings over thepast couple of years I've noticed that quite a few people suffer from thyroid and
Hives, whether there is a connectionI do not know. Sorry.
On the left hand side is a section titled pinned posts, in this section is "coping strategies - things we can do to improve our chances on theCLL journey. Well worth a read.
Hives was my primary symptom for CLL. I could not figure out what I was allergic to. Went to doc for an allergy referral and ended up with oncology referral.
According to Dr Isabella Wentz, who wrote a book on Hashimoto's Thyroiditis, hives can be a symptom of an autoimmune reaction in thyroid disease.
I would insist on more investigation of your thyroid due to your imbalance. Your GP or hematologist can refer you to an endocrinologist or internist. Do not let this fall by the wayside.
