Just got home from hospital. (8 Hours today). Today went much more smoothly than yesterday. No 'Episodes' today. The team continued to run extra fluids in tandem with the treatment, which seems to have smoothed things out. Nurse says because it was my first infusion yesterday it was a shock to my system as the treatment releases histamine's & my system probably thought "what the hell is that". a long day but all in all it went very well. Feeling a little weary but then again only managed to get around 4 hours sleep last night Probably too much going through my mind. Third session tomorrow then a much needed break.

Hi. Many thanks for the reply. Slept really well had about 8 hours. woke up feeling refreshed & alert for the first time in years. Surprising really because in the months leading up to treatment I was out for the count for at least 12 hours per night & woke up feeling tired still. So far so good.
Thanks & Best wishes going forward.
FCR? Rigors are common, and tend to be experienced only the first time. Steroids which are part of the mix can keep you up days two/three of the cycle. Just take it easy and give yourself some time to recover. Hope the rest of your treatment goes well.
Hi thanks for the response. Not on FCR, I am on Rituximab & Bendamustine. Taking it as it comes. A little each day. Plenty of rest Short walks fresh air etc.
Thanks for the continuing updates. I hope day three goes as well!
Due to leave for hospital in about 30 mins. Will post progress later.
