Hi all , I am diagoinsed with cell last July and my G P order blood test this week and Has digonised me with macrocytosis

Can you please help me what cause this?

Hi Dogali

Marcocytosis are enlarged red blood cells and can have a number of causes, like low levels of B12 and folate. Other causes are anemia, liver problems, alcoholism, some drugs, and bone related cancers like CLL.

I think your GP should run your blood levels for B12. I was in your situation many years ago and now require monthly B12 injections... supplements may be useless...

It would be wise to also get refered to a hematologist or discuss this with your CLL specialist...

This really is a bit outside your GPs range, considering your CLL...
