Dear CLL friends: While the big convention where blood cancers are discussed is the ASH (American Society of Hematology) meeting in early December, some research comes out at the ASCO medical meeting (American Society of Clinical Oncology) in early June in Chicago. Many CLL specialists attend this too since more and more news comes out about treatments and research at both times of the year. And for us patients, we want to know what it means for us! So that’s why Patient Power covers these meetings for you (We’ll also attend the European Hematology Association meeting in mid-June and hope to cover the International workshop on CLL from Sydney in September). At this ASCO meeting we will try something new for you. We have asked Dr. Nicole Lamanna from Columbia University in NY City, a noted specialist, to sit before a camera LIVE and take your questions, especially about what the latest news means for you. Hi Andrew please can you ask why there has been so little research into fatigue in Cll. I don't need to tell you that a lot of people find this a real problem. Best wishes
