This sunday,13th July , I am taking part in the London 10k to raise funds for CLLSA.
I have been on watch and wait for almost 20 years and at almost 70 years old feel to take part is great, last year I raised £720 before gift aid .Only problem slowing me down this year is the secondary cancer diagnosed last November and for which I finished treatment 5 weeks ago.
I only post this to say try your very best to stay positive.

Wow William, that is so inspirational, well done for even thinking to do this!! Do you have a donations page at all? I also just challenged myself this year (also on W&W, now 4 years diagnosed with CLL possibly 9 years with it - aged 53), to walking on a Camino in Spain to Santiago, I couldn't manage the time off work to do the whole Camino but did manage 350 miles over 4 weeks. I did struggle at times I must be honest, and I did get sick, but had taken meds and found a place to rest and recover so thankfully came through it, but challenging myself and my body, being positive and succeeding has been an amazing experience and I consider myself very lucky to have been able to do this, I do appreciate that not everyone with CLL is as fortunate. My mantra is 'cup half full and life is for living'! x
Team DAK's courage and determination to complete this Herculean challenge tomorrow is inspirational. It will just take a little shove from you all to lift the donation pot to £1,000.
You don't have to run ( joggawalk) with team DAK to take part, just support them by visiting
