White stool and jaundice back two months after kasai procedure.

My daughter had kasai procedure at 78days and we stayed in the hospital for one month in japan and she was recovering well from day one and her jaundice had cleared completely and she was discharged from the hospital on December 2nd 2022 and we stayed in japan for another month she was ok on everything and on January 10 we travelled back to my country Africa. So Thursday 12th of January we notice the stool were white again and the eyes turning yellow again. What does this mean we are worried. What should we do. Has anyone went through this and what was your outcome. Please I will appreciate your comments 🙏.

Hi,It means the liver s still not recovered. Consult your surgeon for further diagnosis

Hi ,May god bless you and your child . Kasai procedure done after 2 month usually does not get the desired result . as far as I know . After Kasai procedure liver transplant is to be done depending up on the responses of patients liver .usually Kasai procedure provides some time for patient'body and family to decide about the difficult step of liver transplant .I think you should talk to your doctor. Only he can tell you the reason of yellowing of eyes. It is difficult time for you but I would request you to never loose hope . Everything will be fine . May God be with your child and you.
