Pls solve Itching problem

Hi All, my son got kasai 1 year back when he was 55 days old. Every month we get his blood tests done but Still they are not in normal range, He is on antibiotics & vitamins & udcament. My son has itching problem. He gets mad by itching his feet & hand & neck a lot that sometimes start crying. Please give some solution for itching. How can i help him to reduce his problem. Pls help.

Hy mgaud mine is also having the same problem my doctor said she’ll give us Gabapentin because the one we were using (ursotan ) is out of stock

My son takes rifampin and it works very well.

Hello, i'm sorry to hear this, it's so hard for little ones when they are itching. Itching is a very common problem with children with a liver condition. Please talk to your child's care provider to discuss some options for the itching, there are some creams and medications that can help. Warmest regards, Kate

My son 7 year old also has itchy problem Dr gave him Rifampicin in the night 4.5 ml he can sleep now thankfully but in the morning he has itching but when he is not busy.
