Diet chart post kasai
Hi, please consult your physician / dietitian for what milk diet is best for her etc. as far as we know there is nothing specific. Our dietitian recommended to give lots of fatty food like cheese, full fat yogurt, butter etc. to put is simple there is nothing on the don't side. But keep it hygiene as it's the number one priority. Always best to go with what physician says with the diet.
how is her bilirubin now? Did you say that the kasai happened at 12th week? Great to hear that she is doing well post kassai. What milk is she on?
Please feel free to ask questions.
We are giving him 3 times mct oil 5ml & his bilirubin is in normal range but ALP is in high range we are giving him nisobee milk powder but now when we give hime regular food in paste form he start doing loosing motion do stool pass many time a day which is worried for us. And kasai in 15 week so i am more tense and concern of his well being...
wht is mct oil, is it for the liver? Bilirubin under 20? ALP (Alkaline Phosphate) normal range is between 102 and 420. Are you seeing more than this? If he passes loose stool many times, you need to watch out for dehydration. see his doctor soon. Kasai at 15 weeks not necessarily a worrying thing. It depends on bile ductules present in the liver. my girl had her kassai at 4.5weeks and it didn't do the trick. Only 20% success rate for Kassai and I hope your boy is in one of them.
Sorry for referring as her, as most of the time it's girls who get BA.
We where prescribed a mct heavy formula and also load everything with cream/butter etc.
We are now 12 mths post kasai and our son is doing great. He had a bad bug and got bloods and all liver function Is in normal ranges.
Your baby looks to be gaining weight, it took us 8/9 mths to really see the gains but from being off the chart in size he is now at the 25th percentile
Enfamil pregestimil with Mct oil
I would ask your GP to refer you to a dietitian for advice and the best formula to use as some you can only get through them. Nice to hear she is doing well what a cute photo - Jacquie
Hi, The best person to speak to is a dietitian, if you do not have one you can ask your GP to refer you.
Best wishes
