I have been on statins 25yrs

I took my self off them a year ago

And got my cholestrol down my self

With plant sterols q-10 and fruit and veg

I tick every box for side effects

That all stopped within days of coming off statins

well done, I have been taking plant sterols as a supplement ... but I didnt see that much of a decrease in cholesterol levels... it was 7.4 now its 6.7 but my tryglecerides are now within normal range (1.7) so Im happy about that .. I think my problem is a low HDL and a higher than average LDL which Im finding hard to change ... CoQ10 gave me palpitations and insomnia so I stopped taking it.

When the World Heath Organisation top man said they know enough about statins to take them off the market once and for all does it for me.

Could he put his name to that if it wasn't true

There is lots of things to help bring your cholestrol down

Just found Betavivo Holland &Barrett

It claims to draw the cholestrol out of your blood and out of you body

Can't find any bad write up about it.

Well done, nice to know you are feeling better. I had some awful side effects and that was only taking them for a few months, am going to try as much as possible to not have to take any.

Good for you, I think you were very lucky too in that the side effects disappeared so fast. Why were you on them though - and for 25 years? I hadn't realised they had been available so long.

Personally I refused them when my dr offered me one last year. My cholesterol was 6.6 and ratio was 2.4. I read so much and decided that there is so much rubbish spoken about cholesterol when all the time we need it for our cells. I personally know of 3 people who have been seriously compromised with the things.
