The most challenging time of my life !!

Some of you will know I have had Skin Cancer in the past on my face next to my eye and recently had a reoccurrence resulting in 2 operations to remove the tumour.

Unfortunately they have not been able to remove it and I am now been advised that the best way to treat the cancer is for them to remove my eye completely and have a prosthetic one fitted this way I stand the best chance of clear margins and been cancer free.

These last few weeks have been very challenging for me with some dark days, but I am determined not to let the cancer beat me or defy who I am, No date has been set for my surgery but likely to be end of July beginning of August and I know as this date gets closer I will need to dig deep for some inner strength.

I could not do any of this without the incredible support from my family and especially my amazing wife who has been supporting me every step of the way.

I also have some great friends who have been keeping my spirits up coming round for coffee or even delivering home bakes.

I know I can do this but just got to take it a day, week and month at a time.. 🙂

Hi Johnathan50 , I'm so sorry to hear you are going through such a difficult time. It is completely understandable that you've been having some low days. After all, you are faced with some big life changes at the minute. You're exactly right, it is best to just take things one step at a time for now. "Little by little, day by day, what's meant for you will find its way". Take care, thinking of you :)
