Having just read Hidden post about Jenny's story.. I believe these words of hers need repeating:

I absolutely understand that many are put in positions that make their life difficult with a visible difference, and that it’s ongoing for many. I hope everyone that feels self-conscious knows they’re not to blame for that. You’re not to blame if peoples comments, stares and abuse get to you and impact your self-esteem. You’re not “letting them win”, it just happens sometimes.
