Good morning everyone. Just wanted to wish everyone a great weekend. Hope your all well? If not please feel free to chat via private message or other wise. I haven't got much planned today and would welcome some company. Kinda feeling a bit lonely.

Sorry to hear you are experiencing a lonely weekend. In much of the UK the weather has improved a bit today and there are some early signs of springtime just around the corner. In my garden and nearby hedgerows; the Snowdrops have started to appear.

If you are well enough to go for a bit of a walk in your neighborhood - you might find more people out and about today - even if you merely were to exchange a "Morning" peasantry with folk passing by it can be a point of contact

If a short walk is out of the question; what about - around 2 pm at the day's best temperature - wrapping up warmly, making yourself a mug of coffee and getting a chair or deckchair or something insulating to make sitting on an outdoor step OK for a while. Become part of the World enjoying the afternoon outdoors for a few minutes. If passerbys are too far away for a chat - you can still exchange a cheery wave "Afternoon!".

If both of the above are a bridge too far - perhaps sit indoors with a coffee near a window ajar for a bit - with any luck you might hear some sounds of people and birds sharing the day.

Meant to say - bit grumpy myself this weekend - so in solidarity - later I will pop outdoors for a while and see if there is a photo worth snapping to capture my imagination for the day (if it is any good I'll post it here as my mission evidence!). Take care.

I have uploaded 1 photo as a reply to PastaLover53 's original post on this thread (it was just the view which, for me, summarised the experience of late afternoon February sunshine in the UK today).

Hi Peter

Only just seen your post and hope you got some enjoyment from your day and have a good day today. It’s a miserable time of year and easy to have a low mood when all is grey and cold. Many animals are in hibernation and we too need to keep warm and get plenty of hot drinks to sustain us. All the bulbs are coming up in my pots so a reminder that spring is on its way. Take good care of yourself.
