Hi guys I hope each and everyone of you have had a brilliant Christmas.
Mine hasn't been too bad actually. I am impressed that me and so many more of us, managed to cook Christmas dinner, entertain family and friends, tidy everything away and eventually crash on Boxing day evening.
Well done to everyone you have done so well now go into the living room,, put your feet up and do absolutely nothing for the next few days lolx

I’m only just recovered enough to think through your message there!😂
Fantastic!! 👌😃 Xxxx
Hi
I was very lucky . We stayed with our son in their new house. Chantelle let me peel some vedge plus let our eldest, do some vedge as well, we were allowed to do one or two other things too. She did more or less everything else. by herself. Ian and Dave spent most of Christmas Day building a shed for Ian's bike . Me and Mike did some of 6f the washing up but Mike did most of it. We all had a very good day , every task was shared which was brilliant as not one person had to do everything which is how it should be. Love and hugs to you both and everyone else. Xxxx
Thank you. It's good that we all get on, I know Mike can't wait to have a full time job, I know he and Alannah would love their own place, I had said to Mike our door is always open , the same goes for Ian . He's 27 and Alannah is 29 so I understand that they want their own place. Sorry, I've gone off on a tangent again,!!!
I love the words “managed Christmas” - it does sometimes feel like we do indeed need to manage ourselves through it - says he who didn’t do diddly-squat. (Or did diddly-squat depending on the use of the term in which country y’all live 😀)....
Well done ..good plan. First sober Xmas for me , likewise cooked Xmas lunch which kept my mind of things. Quite enjoyable- even invented a non alcoholic drink tangerine juice and San Pellegrino very moreish... Be of good cheer.
I was given the day off by "She who must be Obeyed" aka SWMBO as reffered to in my railway group😁😁😁, but as I do the cooking for the rest of the year, it came as a pleasent surprise ..... I was able to watch all the repeats on the telly😢😢😢

Thanks Alley. I survived so I'm including myself in your 'everyone who managed Christmas'. Your next post, asking about buscopan, may be a long while getting replies while everyone is finding and taking their own remedy for over-indulgence. I'm almost recovered - sleeping nearly upright, drinking water slowly and plentifully, and planning never, ever, to overdo anything again in the eating stakes. (Not steaks, before Ofekman gets the mustard out)...
God Bless Us All!
Happy New Year when it comes.

No beef. Bottle it up.
There'll be girls across the nation
That will eat this up babe
I know that it's your soul but could you bottle it up and
This made me giggle lol...I feel absolutely terrible. Bloated, nauseous, feverish, but I do have a bit of a cough, also joints hurt. But I have found that lots of water sipped slowly, a glug of gaviscon and lots of upright sleep have been beneficial...
I will never ever overindulge again lol. I wouldn't mind but, I only had a child size Christmas dinner with no puddings. And on Boxing day, I did a buffet with the help of my son's and I couldn't eat a single thing. It's a good job my family know lol
Who’s child though, the BFG? I only ate small amounts but put on 6lb. It ain’t water, either...
Thank you! Me too, bit feverish, bit coughs, painful knees, nausea at bay with tiny carbs snacks 🤪. And like you I was as cautious as could be, not eating the ‘best’ things on the table. So for me, on top of it all, a bit of resentment that I abstained from so much but still got clobbered from excess. I’m feeling like posting what I didn’t eat though I badly wanted - a sort of post- Christmas Pity Party! 🤣 would you like to come? Put your biggest kaftan on and bring a bottle of water. And gaviscon if you still feel a bit acid. xx

No real food. Just talking about what we didn’t eat though we wanted to but knew it would be bad for us. And how we we still got sick because Christmas food isn’t good for us. At all. If I’m still here next year there’ll be just ‘invalid diet’! Do you remember when it was called that? A wee bit of steamed fish and a bit of boiled potato with a boiled bit of greens?

Valid enough diet that. We skipped🦃 & Xmas pud this yr. A little Roast Lamb & a mince pie. No stuffing ere.
