Worried About Under Eyelid Color

I am 21 years old. I drink four times a month at most. I don’t do any drugs or take any medications. I also don’t have any health conditions. However, I do apply serums to my face and I wonder if that is contributing to this color. There is no family history of liver issues but I noticed this color when an eyelash fell into my eye. I did a blood test a year ago and it showed no problems.

Do you mean the outer eye lid or actually underneath the eye lids if you peel them back? I have fatty liver diagnosed last year, about a month ago I pulled back my bottom eye lids near the tear ducts and they had a yellow tinge. ( still do) so I went back to the dr and got my bloods done. It was negative for jaundice, so I guess it can be normal to have some discolouration but always best to check with a medical professional of course. Mine also are blood shot in that area so I wonder if that makes it look yellowish.

Hi, if you’re worried you could ask a pharmacist to take a look or go to your GP. It’s probably nothing, but if you’re worried get it checked out.

If this were to be anything like jaundice you don't need to turn your eyelids back to look see it - the whole sclera of the eye is yellowed. Creamy colour at the outer edges is normal.

However, if you did have any liver concerns a visit to your GP and a simple blood test for bilirubin would provide more idea if there there was any issue.
