You can go to a doctors and get a fibroscan, if your doctor doesn't want to, you can get one privately. I had a drug induced liver injury, I thought my liver was toast. I didn't believe anybody that it was alright given skin, nail changes, pain, even a hernia from when I was sick. My fibroscan came back a 4.8, the liver can take a lot. When we think something is wrong with our liver, we take symptoms and run with them. Not saying this is happening here, but we get paranoid and it doesn't help with dealing with the stress that may come from a health problem. I'd start with labs, that's your first place to start. I thought something was wrong, I was told no, you're good. I got labs and AST and ALT were 5 times the upper limit of normal. You can go for a fibroscan, a quick set of labs will help you know if there is an immediate issue that needs to be taken care of.

If you go onto the British Liver Trust website you should find information about their road shows. I believe they are doing drop in clinics to have a fibro scan done.

Good Luck!

My nails are very fragile & used to be SO strong. They also have ridges & tend to split. It’s so aggravating!

I think it is due to your body not getting the proper nutrients due to the liver not fully processing anymore.

Good luck and eat healthy!

Thank you all for the replies I really do appreciate it and I'm eating healthy working out and doing what I can if my pain and tenderness would go away I'd feel great and I'm in the United States and they say I need a referral for a fibro scan idk if there's a way I can pay for a private one or of there is a private company here

I'm in the United States also, there's a clinic in LA and one in NY that do private fibroscans. They aren't very expensive, I think I was quoted $350. For the information it brings or none the less peace of mind, its worth every penny. Jesus himself could have came down and said my liver healed and that I was fine and I wouldn't have believed him. I need a biopsy or fibroscan to finally feel like I beat the DIH. Not sure where you are located, I went to Emory in Atlanta and I was given a fibroscan even after my labs went back to normal.
