Please check this with your doctor.

The normal range for the bloods I last had is 3.5-5.1. Labs can differ with their ranges and it is worth checking with your doctor what they meant by "very low" since no treatment has been suggested. Bananas are the best source of dietary potassium as far as I know. When I was in hospital with pneumonia they said I had low potassium at one point but I don't know what the reading was since I was in ICU. I can tell you that the medication they gave me to bring it up tasted utterly vile and is devoutly to be avoided if you can!
