blood results: hi folks.. what I've... - British Liver Trust
blood results
Can't see why not - they're yours and it's something I get from my GP and my hospital so they can both see the other's figures.
Hi Chris, I read your last (and first!) post, I'm sorry you have not been feeling well lately, did you ever get in to see your gp? You're so right about not being too quick to judge, some people seem to have one track minds about what causes certain symptoms with cirrhosis. It isn't always a straight answer, of course eating properly and not drinking alcohol are always safe bets 😛 but of course there are other variables to consider. High bilirubin levels may indicate a problem with the red blood cells, or the gall bladder, as well as in the case of liver disease specifically, a problem with the white blood cells being held by the overworked spleen and then the red blood cells get flushed out and bilirubin levels rise. It doesn't mean you did anything wrong, and don't let anyone tell you otherwise. I know your doctor or nurse can explain it much better but know that there are others here (me, for one 😉) who are thinking of you and wishing you well.
bootandall, thank u very much 4 replying to me. I suppose when I stopped drinking,I thought things would be OK....,but not the case....more health problems than when I was drinking. as I said before,it doesn't do to judge to quickly..best wishes chris
