does anyone know if Reiki works on liver disease , especially for cirrhosis which I’ve been diagnosed with 😩? I have read Reiki does but was hoping to get it clarified.

Does Crohn’s affect the liver too??

Thank you all.

I have often had Reiki and I find it’s really helpful. You need a series of about six concurrent sessions to get the full benefit but even just a singular one can be beneficial. It’s important to drink plenty of water after each session. My dreams after sessions are often very vivid and I sleep very deeply. I also find it helps with relaxation and I have a feeling of general well-being after a couple of sessions. I have cirrhosis and I discussed it with my consultant before I started treatment and he was surprisingly enthusiastic about it. I was expecting him to tell me it was a load of mumbo jumbo. He said that it’s being increasingly seen as helpful as a complementary therapy and is used more and more in chronic disease treatment. It’s also used in cancer care. I started it not long after diagnosis when I had been very ill and alongside no alcohol, a prescribed diet and exercise it really helped.

Thank you. I have another FibroScan on 18th June as my consultant wants it done on new machine. That’s great you’ve spoken to your consultant and he’s enthusiastic. 🤞🏼 it works for us all. Thank you

I’ve had reiki and reflexology- not sure of the impact on my liver but find they help with the swelling I get in my legs and help me relax and sleep so much better in a deeper sleep which has to be better for my liver? The lady who does both says she can feel congestion in my liver (when doing reflexology) and when she holds her hands over my liver area they feel like they are warming my liver - something that generally happens when over an area with pain. Have to say I was really thinking it was a lot of hippy rubbish until I had it done. Give it a go and see if it works for you.

Thank you I will give it ago. I’ve got another FibroScan on 18th June as my consultant wants it done on new machine. So book some sessions after that.
