Does liver disease cause thirst and dry mouth????
Hi
How are you feeling this morning?
I'm not sure but I have this too. I'm speaking with my consultant on Tuesday so I will ask him
I will report back to you. Take care and stay safe Lynne
I am feeling same since 6 months. Dr said its because of anxiety. But I think its other problem.
Hi
What meds are you on? Have any got dry mouth as side effect? I'm certainly going to ask my consultant on Tuesday. Take care and stay safe Lynne
I am not on any medicines, dr told me it's because of anxiety.
What do you eat and drink? What is your overall diet?
No spicy , no oily, no nonveg.
Only rice items and veggies.
Nothing extreme there. Try some fruit periodically throughout day; apples oranges and at night some sliced lemon and lime in tonic water with ice. See how you get on. I have decomposed liver giving me trouble all over but I’m on so much fruit I don’t get dry mouth...no wonder😊
I will ask my consultant tomorrow and see what he says.
Hi Dogbot here I would be interested as well I have had dry mouth for years and have been told it’s probably a side effect from medication but my medication has changed so much 🤔.
So we are all awaiting your report 😂🤣ta,
Stay Safe All

Thank you 😂I've got everything written down!!!
Hello for me a definate YES I have had dry mouth and a terrible thirst since I was diagnosed 5 years ago, and it has never left me.
All my best wishes
Paderico,
Yes I have that problem it actually wakes me up some times
What is the reason of it??
So many people say different things,, I have asked every Doctor I have had a ings college they all say somthing different and these are highly quallifide Gentlemann so WHO KNOWS if you come across a reasonable explanition please let meknow, personally I think it has something to do with Liver, but I am not a medical professionall but have not had an answer for 5 years.
ALL MY BEST WISHES...
Paderico.
I suffered terribly with a dry mouth and thirst pre transplant. I always had to have some boiled sweets to suck or a drink with me.
What disease u had??
I had NASH, non alcoholic liver diesease, which caused cirrosis and portal hypertension and varices and eventually Heptatic Encephalopathy, which made me eligible to go on the transplant list.
I found sitting with a bowl of crushed ice and munching through that helped better than just drinking fluids.
