I had an endoscopy two weeks ago mainly looking to see if I needed any banding. I was lucky as this was not required and would not need another endoscopy for 3 years. The reason for my post on here is that since having the endoscopy I have endured pain in my left-hand side of the stomach as well as the right-hand side just below the ribs which I have had constantly for approx 2 years now. I have mentioned this to my liver consultant about the pain on the right-hand side and he does not seem to be too worried about this.
My main concern is how I have developed the pain on the left-hand side of the stomach, have anyone else experienced this or have this? I would be most grateful for any answers to this.
I have been on this wonderful sight since being diagnosed with Cirrhosis of the liver around three years ago, I come on here every day to see how people are so I am not new to this anymore lol.
Many thanks.

Unfortunately, my last scan was over 12 months ago as I had to reside somewhere else when my wife became seriously ill last year. I shall have to contact my liver consultant to speed this one up. Also to try and get my spleen looked into.
You definitely need an up to date scan, the purpose of them is to check your liver for any additional lumps and bumps so they can be acted on timeously. Also, it'll check your spleen, gall bladder, pancreas, look for signs of portal hypertension and whether or not your spleen is being affected by your cirrhosis - it's common to get an enlarged spleen tied in with low platelets with cirrhosis and this can cause left sided pain.
