I’ve been having terrible pain in my right side and LFT was abnormal but had an ultrasound and everything normal. My pain still going on. I have buscopan but not sure if that’s going to help. What should I be asking to happen next? My doctor said he doesn’t know what’s wrong with me as everything looks ok. I’ve asked to be referred to gastroenterologist but as it’s a non emergency was told could be 18 month wait to even talk to one.

I see on your profile you mention Gallbladder and bile duct diseases, and that your gallbladder was removed.

It is possible that at the time of removal some of the gallstones could have been hiding on the bile duct and managed to get left behind. These can cause ongoing issues. They can get stuck in the bile duct and prevent the bile from being able to flow properly, This can then get backed up and cause the liver to become enlarged.

After a while, the stone canfind it's way lose

I got omeorazol yesterday to try. Buscopan 6 per day. Think I feel slightly better. Always eat healthy, exercise and not overweight. Hardly ever drink alcohol. Eating probiotics to see if helps. Not sure what else I can really to do with diet?

Frustrating isn’t it. I’ve had sports related injuries before but I was mid holiday when my pain started so was relaxing more than normal! Haven’t been able to do anything gym/run/swim/yoga in the evening since I got home three weeks ago as evenings I’m in such pain. Fine to work all day 🙄

My doctor said it could be Condroitis… spelling??? Nerve related. I’ve had it for 7 years and no changes.

Go private, there is no need for you to wait in agony for 18 months. I am not a doctor but my guess is something to do with the gallbladder, I'm thinking gallstones.

I have slightly abnormal lft to and the cat scan did show fatty liver, been having similar pain under ribs and lower back I didn't think early stage fatty liver caused these symptoms but guess I was wrong. Other drs have also told me it may be muscular and not related but I'm so tired of not having any definite answers
