Holiday Insurance providers.
Hi. I'm currently on holiday at the moment in Gran Canaria, my first holiday since 2019. I was in hospital for 5 weeks last summer and my chances werent good but her I am and feeling better for sme sunshine!
My usual travel insurance is with my bank and although the general travel insurance is still valid for most thngs, when I told them what I wanted cover for, they wouldnt insure me as I had been hospitalised in the last 12 months. They did however give me details of a search engine containing details of insuers who may cover me. This is apparently sanctioned by the NHS.
I found several on there that would give me travel cover so ended up getting sorted easily. I believe that this site also has info regarding travel insurance but I had hoped my bank would sort it so that would have been my next port of call.
I would speak to your current insurer (f you have one) and maybe they can help. Hope you get sorted 🌞🌞
Try Staysure. I got an annual policy for £400. It only covers Europe, quote for USA was in £1000,s!
Hi
I had insurance for holiday last year with Puffin Travel Insurance - am going to use them again this year. Really impressed with the level of cover.
A single trip cost me around £65. All medical information disclosed - I have cirrhosis but no varices.
Well work a look!
I have been insured by Able2Travel, Avanti and All Clear but not cheaply as I have a combination of chronic conditions. There is a list of insurers on the BLT website that I found useful. Good Luck!
we use Staysure. Annual cost for Europe was around £340 this year. Husband has compensated cirrhosis ( but no varices, no ascites and no hospital admissions in last 12 months) and also atrial fibrillation. For me (high blood pressure only) the annual cost was only £65.

I have tried lots of times to get insurance and if you find one that will even give you a quote you will be lucky.

Try Tesco Insurance - £126 for an annual policy for Europe for me, two kids & husband. He has cirrhosis with portal hypertension and varices, including routine banding in the last year.
