There are always numerous medical trials going on. You would want hull details of any trial you were joining before going ahead. They don't progress medical science without willing patients taking part in trials but you need to know the ins and outs and pros and cons re. your own health situation

What is the pearl research study

The Pearl study aims to recruit 3000 people with liver cirrhosis caused by one of the underlying conditions of HCV, HBV, alcohol-related, NAFLD and haemochromatosis, who have never been diagnosed with HCC. Participants will be recruited from 24 NHS sites in England and will be asked to attend at least 5 study visits.
