Done a home liver blood test
Depending on the accuracy of the home test a GGT of 87 isn't massively high. Whilst lab ranges vary - a score up to 50 is about normal in men. GGT is extremely sensitive inflammation marker so a binge session after 6 months sobriety is probably the reason it's elevated somewhat.
Remembering that you've earlier been told you had some degree of fatty liver then it's not really wise to chuck that much booze at it.
Your liver probably is screaming at you for a return to the TLC you've been giving it with sobriety.

Thanks for the reply 👍
I'm gonna leave it alone from now on.
It was 526 last October 2021
Fella. Mine was at my last bloods 395,ggt. Mine has never returned to near normal, even after just about 4 years of not taking any alcohol. My consultant seems to think its the pain killer im on for my sciatica. We are all very different fella, one rule does not cover all. My best.Chris
Also I'm fatigued all the time and feel sick the majority of the time I'm taking olanzapine and sertraline for depression, not sure if it these drugs causing it
Just to say,im also on furosemide, which can also affect ggt, according to my gastro consultant. I would try and contact your doctor, and explain things again,to try and get some answers. I would really leave the drink alone,as your liver isn't liking it very much!! You can turn things around from having fatty liver. My best. Chris
Thanks Chris, I'll give the results to the surgery tomorrow as I've got to pick up a bottle for a stool sample
I get pain in my liver area and muscle aches, stomach ache, headaches, pain in the back between my shoulder blades, and paresthesia. I had a ultrasound last June which said I had fatty liver and I'm not getting anywhere with my doctor I'm taking 8 paracetamol a day and 2 tramadol and it's not touching the pain. also I have avascular necrosis of both hips and a inguinal hernia and hiatus hernia.
Stop taking paracetamol it's really bad for your liver. I totally feel your pain the doctors don't listen better going to hospital they are more on the ball
Thanks, I was in hospital last December/January and they never done anything for ever what condition I have or anything for the pain. My gp advised me I could take up to 8 paracetamol in 24 hours, I don't know if its my pancreas or gull bladder or liver something is not right my stools was a green/grey colour for a couple of days they seem to have gone back to near normal colour now.
I was the same getting no where until I was in hospital got a great doctor who referred me for a ct scan got my results but now discovered gall stones as well as my cirrhosis. Hope you get answers soon. I've also put myself forward for liver disease and to go for a fibro scan in February. You should maybe look into that
Thanks for your reply, and sorry to hear about your cirrhosis diagnoses
