JUST GOT MY SCAN RESULTS I WOULD LIKE HELP TO UNDERSTAND THEM PLS

my scan results are cap 368 kpa 46.8 and iqr 11.8 and iqr/med 25%

Hi Northpolebear, sadly it is against forum rules for us to try and interpret your results and it really needs to be done by your medical professional who will look at the fibroscan in conjunction with whatever other tests you've had done.

CAP is a reflection of how much fatty change is in your liver and kPa is the degree of fibrous tissue. (the iqr and igr/med are figures used in working out the spread of your 10 readings and how accurate this might be).

kPa can be falsly inflated in the presence of ongoing liver inflammation so your doctor will need to look at the fibroscan result alongside liver bloods to deduce whether this is at play in your results.

Hopefully you do have some follow up appointments scheduled to help explain the results and what the treatment plan is going forward.
