my hubby has been complaining with a lot of pain right across his lower back. Could this be associated to his liver

Yes, but it could be a multitude of other things too. A ton of people with zero liver issues have lower back pain so I would not jump to any conclusions.

hello - I’m so sorry you’re having to go through this with your husband . My son was a social / glasses of wine after work drinker for about 45 year and he was diagnosed with decompensated cirrhosis early this year . He stopped drinking a year ago . Before he was diagnosed he had really bad back pain all across his back and it was an effect to walk .he used to shrug it off and say it was with work ( he had a manual job ) and he was vey overweight . He’s lost nearly 7 stone and isn’t in pain now but he has to have a fluid drain every week . Things are looking a bit brighter . I write to his doctor and send emails of anything I’m concerned about . Hopefully you can contact his doctor and mention the back pain . Thinking of you - keep hopeful . We try to balance hope with reality . Best wishes Carol x

the back pain followed a polyectomy about a month ago. Some days he is screaming in pain, then eased for a few day's
