Anyone know if cirrhosis qualifies us under 75s for the spring booster vaccine?
Flu jabs are given earlier because of liver disease, the NHS wrote months ago saying because cirrhosis causes low immunity I qualify for antivirals if I catch covid but vaccination centre turned me away for the spring booster even though I had the consultants letter confirming cirrhosis.
Have you had an email from the NHS inviting you for the booster? I had to wait for the invite and take a consultants letter. If you’re eligible you should be able to book online nhs.uk/conditions/coronavir...
Was your last jab less than 6 months ago? If so that would be why you were turned away. We are eligible for it early.
No, last jab 7 months ago.
You should be able to have it then. maybe it's different in other areas.
I don't qualify for an earlier jab here in Canada apparently.
