Information about the 3rd Primary vaccine at:- nhs.uk/conditions/coronavir...

The 3rd Primary dose is for those with weakened/suppressed immune systems that may not have had as strong a response to the course of first two jabs.

As a transplant recipient you should be offered both the 3rd Primary Vaccine AND a booster at a later date.

This news item details the confusion issues - msn.com/en-gb/health/medica...

Hi, i am also finding the whole vaccination program confusing at the moment, I don’t think the information given is enough, so I have had both initial doses and a booster dose end of September then yesterday I received an appointment for a booster dose for end of November, now I don’t know if this is a mistake or if it’s a fourth dose, online it comes up as autumn/winter vaccination 🤔

The third primary dose is the same vaccine put into your arm it is how it is recorded that's different. You can have the third primary dose 8 weeks after the 2nd dose and then the booster 6 months after that. I had my 3rd about 6 weeks ago after sending my GP information from the British liver trust, since then I've also had letters from Addenbrookes and local ccg saying I need 3rd dose. For the 3rd dose you should have the pfizer, don't have the moderna as that is a lower dose.Hilary

Hello Treeclimber. I live in France, and had a liver transplant in October last year.

I had 3 primary vaccinations (Pfizer) last spring...all done exactly 4 weeks apart. From what I can understand,my booster jab should be due next month, which will be my 4th vaccination-although it hasn’t been confirmed.

There still seems to be a lot of confusion over the third Jab and the booster.
