I posted recently that it can be good news even after having very severe cirrhosis, life threatening bleeds etc. There is a way back from this. Second cheerful post. This one is about pain relief battle.I have peripheral neuropathy, probably caused by the liver disease and a dodgy back (lumbar disc likes to move about once a year causing incredibly painful muscle spasms) Sick liver does not allow any kind of decent pain relief and members here suggested TENS including helping with a back labour (I also had a back labour but after an hour shouted for the epidural). I bought one of them there machines advertised endlessly on telly which supposedly revitalises feet and legs but also has TENS pads for other parts of the body e.g. Backs, arthritis etc. One day of TENS on the back and I am mobile and pain free without painkillers. Feet are still dead as a dodo or painful depending on their mood but that is the next project. I kind of feel that TENS may be a possible solution for so many people whose livers don't allow pain relieving drugs
