First post nerves

Hi all, this is my first day. I was diagnosed with fatty tissue cirrhosis a couple of months ago after pain on my right hand side. The pain just got worse and no one could give me the answer “ why” I found by following a healthy diet the pain started to go, but I still have this dull ache and am unable to walk far or do jobs without being tired. It also feels the liver moves around when I bend or lie down, this is painful too.

My question do things get better or is this the way I have to live.

Hi

I too get pain like you. I see my consultant next Thursday. He said it's the capsule around the liver that causes the pain as this has loads of nerves in it which the liver hasn't got. I've got a few other things which don't help. I really hope you start to feel better soon. Please take care Lynne

Demsoft, it's very early days for you yet. You don't say whether your cirrhosis was caused by alcohol, but if it was I'm assuming you've stopped drinking completely. Continue with your healthy diet, avoid salt as far as possible and try to take some moderate exercise. You will see an improvement in your health but it does take time.

Let us know how things are going.

Hi thank you for replying. My cirrhosis has been caused by being overweight all my life, I don’t drink. X

Demsoft, was a couple of months ago the first time you were diagnosed with Fatty liver disease or earlier and it progressed to the cirrhosis?
