Deep Sleep

My wife is suffering with suspected Hepatic Encephalopathy and won't wake up, borderline between deep sleep and unconsciousness. Should I let her sleep a little longer or call for Blue Lights?

This is a dangerous stage of HE and she needs to be in hospital - too many toxins in her blood stream and brain can start to knock out other organs. She could end up in a coma if this isn't rectified soon.

Phone 999 - lady on here last weekend was in a similar position with her hubby and when he got to hospital (eventually) after out of hours doctor arranged ambulance he was already suffering bad kidney problems on top of his HE etc.

All the best,

Katie

Thank you for those comments, they are an encouragement. The nursing staff says she is alert, although still drifting in and out of sleep. Earlier they were please she managed to use the toilet, she's getting rid of the toxins poisoning her system!
