Hi

I have always had deranged levels with my liver 2017 biopsy said zero negative AIH started prednisone numbers didnt change much ...pain in right side but low down...April numbers under levels... Sept Alt 74 and ALP 207 saw consultant who now wants to do more bloods as he now thinks its PBC anyone else not on meds and had levels all over the place ..I dont drink either..thankyou:)

With the immune system created diseases the numbers can fluctuate as you can have "flares". Although there may be persistently deranged levels too.

With your ALP being raised it does indicate that part of the problem could involve the bike ducts in the liver so PBC is a sensible thing to check. There can be overlaps with Auto-immune hepatitis and PBC, so it us possible to have both.

Hope they're able to get to the bottom of it.

Have you been tested for Alpha1 Antitrypsin Deficiency? My numbers were elevated and my GE did several tests andfound I had Alpha1. It's just a blood test. Some have some symptoms, some none. It can't hurt to be tested.
