Pale stools and elevated ALT after Covid
Did you have any liver issues before covid? ALT is an inflammation marker and can be elevated even when the body is fighting a bug so it could well be covid that's lead to that. I would hope your doctor is going to continue to monitor and check out any further symptoms. Obviously Covid 19 is such a new illness they don't know what the long term effects will be but liver damage has been found in Covid 19 patients already so it is something to check with your doctor.

Back in January I had elevated levels. I had been on vacation the week before and did have drinks. He checked ran all hep tests and EBV. No hepatitis. But did test positive for EBV antibodies. Last 3 tests have been normal range. ALT 14 AST 12. Monday I did more blood and ALT 35 AST 24. I see my doctor next week. She ran all kinds of tests for post Covid. Everything else checked out good. Can levels be normal then not with liver issues?
It is possible, I became jaundiced and my liver damaged after a blocked bile duct whilst positive with covid. Several doctors and consultants said that they knew that covid can affect the liver. Mine was comprised by the blocked bile duct, but the only cause they could find to attribute the liver damage to was covid. I was treated with Urso and all symptoms are now gone. Hope you're results improve too.
