Hi I have compensated chirosis and am looking into taking HRT,

do any of you ladies take it with chirosis ? Thanks X

My doctor doesn't know???

I may have to consult my liver specialist.

I take HRT and have cirrhosis, my doctor and consultant have been absolutely fine with me taking it . I’ve been compensated luckily still for 5 years and have been taking HRT the same amount of time . Best to talk to your consultant though .

My doctor didn't know either so wrote to specialist to ask, (they do this for everything). I'm on patches which specialist said was ok. Hoping they work as he says no to tablets as they'll go through the liver.

Thank you so much for your reply my friend has the patches and she's pleased with them, at least I know that my GP is being thorough X😍

My docs don't have a clue as changed practices due to house move. So they always write letters to specialist. Better safe than wrong.

Re. Patches, bit of trial and error, where to stick etc. Nurse tip was to keep 1 pack as your spares for when it comes if early for whatever reason 😁
