Is this jaundice?

I just read up on jaundice recently and I’m kinda worried if it is.

I am 15 years of age and I’ve been staring at my pc for long hours a day because of online classes and playing video games.

Checked my eyes and it’s kinda yellow and some veins. That part also feels kinda dry and it slightly hurts for a brief while.

Is it caused by looking at a screen too much? Or is it jaundice

Your finger does. But it could be the light from the flash. This is why photos of body parts are not permitted on this forum. You should contact your doctor if you have concerns. If you are then diagnosed with having liver issues please do come back here as there are many people here able to support you.

You might want to consider using a nail brush. Good hand hygiene can prevent a multitude of diseases, including hepatitis.

Without knowledge of your ethnic background obviously different ethnicities have different skin tones so it's impossible via a tiny photograph to tell whether you have any change in your skin tone. The only way to tell if you have jaundice is to attend a doctor and have tests done and a physical face to face appointment with a doctor. There have been numerous eye issues highlighted during lockdown and due to excess screen time so this could be at play - an appointment with your optician would be a good step.

As a 15 year old you should discuss this with your own parents and if that isn't an option then make an appointment with your doctor. The British Liver Trust is principally concerned with adult illnesses of the liver.
