Can you have jaundice on your face without having it in your eyes? Or does jaundice always show in the white of your eyes first

Mine always showed in my eyes before my skin. I don’t know if it can be the other way round or not.

Thanks

Hi

Mine always shows in eyes first before skin, and when only slightly jaundice it only shows in my eyes and not my skin.

Thanks very much for that. I thought that was the way it was

Good morning C1JAM,

Clinical jaundice is usually initially noticeable in the eyes first. This is because the whites of your eyes are, as the name suggests - white, and therefore more noticeable if there are changes.

If you are worried, perhaps try to seek medical assessment and blood tests ?

Take care,
