Need Answers for Pain - Please Read

I've had different advanced ultrasounds, MRIs, fibro scans, endoscopy, colonoscopy, my gall bladder removed, trigger point injections, physical therapy, fatty liver reduced, and blood work. Blood work just shows slightly high liver enzymes. Imaging showed normal. I'm going back and forth with my gastroenterologist about I need to see a hepatologist. She says it's not my liver. Can't find answers. Any suggestions? I'm exhausted daily. Read below:

Started 10 years ago binge drinking 3-4 times a week for 5 years. Pain started one day in right side after a long night, lasted a couple days and from that point forward, ANYTIME I drank I would get a pain in my side. Just one beer. After a few years of trial and error and reduced drinking nights I gave it up with all the pain it caused. Doctors just told me to stop drinking.

Few years later I started getting chronic migraines daily and took Excedrin. It gave me right side pain like drinking. I tried Tylenol and others and always same result with pain. I took migraine medication for 2.5 years for an office job to the point I had to stop taking meds because my side felt damaged and the pain level got so bad. I tried multiple different medications, an injection, creams, and always the same result. Side pain intense. Also, frequent urination along with taking the meds. Pain reduced/less urination with less medication and lower dosage. Any medications. At this time the pain was so bad I couldn't walk barely and had to stop exercising from walking or I would be in way more pain. Still can't do a light walk. Mayo Clinic even can't even find answers....

Hi,

We are sorry to read of your ongoing pain issues.

Are you in the US?

We can only comment on the liver pathway in the NHS health system.

You have had quite an exhaustive set of medical investigations. The only other suggestion we would make is to discuss that referral to a consultant hepatologist to evaluate everything.

Good luck.
