Received the results of my biopsy today. Both good and bad news I suppose. The good news is that the biopsy has staged the fibrosis at 2 whereas the fibroscan was at 3, no cirrhosis. There are also no features of autoimmune hepatitis. The bad news is that it does confirm the diagnosis of NASH. Obviously a low alcohol and healthy diet push now is needed. I'm meeting with a consultant with a special interest in the management of NASH in a few weeks. Onwards. Hopefully reversible.

Hello,
At least you know where you are now in relation to the state of your liver. You know what you have to do to change your lifestyle and you are going to be under the care of a liver specialist. This is all good. No doubt you will have difficult days but you have the motivation to do what is needed. We will all support you in this forum.
ps ask for a referral to a dietician for advice about maintaining a healthy sustainable diet
regards
Best of Luck to you. Are you in the U.S. Would love to know the consultant who specializes in NASH. I have NASH and right now very dissatisfied with the lack of interest and response to questions from doctors.
Glad to hear you received encouraging results. Scary to have NASH, but yes, you can reverse this! Best of luck to you.
