Ah OK thanks 👍. Thought it might have been some form of pre op meds! I can only remember an IV drip for getting my BSL down, but it was all a blur of course....

Hey Milo, I was on G5 and known by the surgeon as 'The man by the window' . Do you remember the heatwave when we had our transplants on that August bank hol? The sun poured in the big window that I was next to. The nurses didn't have to encourage me to drink water! LOL

Umm actually I don’t remember anything much about the weather at all, although having said that I do remember thinking why don’t they open the window to let some air in. But I really didn’t care at all. What I do remember is the awful - blurry awful - air mattress I had that seemed to half deflate every night 👎🏻. Crikey I pleaded and pleaded for a normal mattress. And got it eventually. Oh bliss oh rapture. Proper sleep at last.....

LOL. Air mattress? Sounds like luxury. Mine was a rubbery thing. I couldn't miss that it was sunny being laid in a south facing window I think that Julia's transplant must have gone ahead. Really hope so!

I can tell you that air mattress was hell, and that was coupled with a bed that was too short for me made for a pretty miserable stay. But did I care? No was Hose. I was there and mended. 👍.

Smyally, I can't begin to tell you how glad I am for you. When I got called on Saturday I can honestly say my first thought was, why me, why aren't they calling you!! I know given your circumstances they were probably looking for a very specific liver for you.

I'm hoping that this will be the one, and at last your long stressful wait is over.

What do you say to someone who may or may not have had a transplant......can’t imagine how you are feeling or thinking either way. Just hope that you are as comfortable and stable as you can be under the circumstances, whether it happened or not. In my thoughts for sure. 💕
