How often does everyone get their endoscopy and colonoscopy? Thanks

Endoscopy / Colonoscopy
It depends on what your condition has been on previous tests. My hubby has only ever had one colonoscopy. He now has an annual endoscopy but this follows periods when he was having endoscopy and banding every 5 or so weeks. Your doctors decide on the gaps between tests.

I am supposed to have an "annual" colonoscopy, but the period between procedures can stretch to thirteen or fourteen months. I'm comfortable with that. Anything that delays the "prep" . The actual procedure is ok. Was offered "gas and air" for the first time earlier this year. Much better than sedation in my view as you can drive afterwards.
Colonoscopy will depend on condition and what they find on the first one. If there's nothing out of the ordinary then it'll be a few years before your next. Unless you have PSC then it'll be an annual colonoscopy. Endoscopy also depends on what they find on the first one, or if they find signs of portal hypertensive gastropathy or varices. In which case the likelihood is that they'll be every 6 months or so give or take a month or so.
It depends on the condition and what they find. For colonoscopy I have usually had polyps which were removed so I generally had a colonoscopy every 3 years. For EGD scope of Esophagus & stomach when diagnosed with hiatal hernia I was given medication and went several years without another EGD scope. But in 2017 I was diagnosed with Barrett’s Esophagus so the gastroenterologist put me on medication and did another EGD in 2 months to make sure the meds were working. Then he did another in a year. All still looks well, so now I get to wait 2 years for the next EGD.
Thanks everyone for your replies . I will wait for my results.
