In February my blood test showed an under active thyroid and bilirubin level of 30. The doctor wanted to do the test again to double check so in March the results came back and again said under active thyroid and bilirubin level 41. I have to wait till 15th April till I see the doctor again. I did speak to another doctor on the phone and he said I would have to wait till my bilirubin reaches the 100s before I go for further tests. Surely it's best to investigate before it gets that bad?

Bilirubin levels going up
On it’s own a bilirubin level is an indicator of an issue of a problem elsewhere and I would listen to the advice given to you. Are you jaundiced and and seeing yellow around your eyes? Mine was 217 at it’s highest and did not drop under 100 until after my transplant. I was on
the transplant list for over 19 months.
I don't have jaundice, no yellowing of the skin or eyes ever. Think I'll have to wait till I see the doctor on 15th April to see what happens next.
