Morning everyone, well ive had the biopsy and I would just like to say it wasn't as bad as I feared.Laying on my side for hours was far worse,i suppose I was luky as I didn't need any pain relief. Ive just had the best nights sleep in ages. Now its the waiting game for the results, I wanted to reassure people it really isn't that bad. Thanks for all your support and I wish you all a happy weekend xx

I am glad it all went smoothly for you :) I wanted to ask- do they do a scalpel incision during the biopsy?

Yes. They use a scalpel first then insert the biopsy needle. Sounds worse than it is. No stitches needed and I took the plaster off 48 hours later.

Thats good to hear, i take it that you had to remain on left side? That would be hard for me, as I have a hip bursa and can't lie on my left. Would have to grin and bare it I guess. Waiting must be hard, but I expect it takes time to for a biopsy. Same for most cancers etc. Hope its good news you all get.

Hi Hazel. The nurses were happy to let me lie on my back, I just had to stay in bed with nothing to drink for 3 hours.
