Thank you. He's in a ward, we've not saw any doctors yet so just waiting. I had kind of gave up hoping as he is blood group B and I don't think that's as common as O so knew we'd probable have a long wait

I am a B, it took 19 months and one false start. I really hope that this time, everything works out. B’s are slightly more prevalent in Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿.

I am blood group B. I’ve been on the list for a year now but was told at the beginning it would be a long wait. So now expecting at least another 8 month wait. Just hope I manage to get to my daughters 21st birthday in August 😉

I hope you get the call soon, it would be the best 21st present for your daughter. it all happened so quickly compared to the other 2 calls he had this year. it has been a rollercoaster for us, trying to keep him as healthy and positive as possible whilst on the list and seeing his health deteriorate I was worried if the call actually came he may not be fit enough to get the op.

thanks Mark, it was only reading the posts on here that we realised we didn't know what his blood group was, we only found out it was B last week and once I realised it wasn't as common as O I was a bit demoralised about it, I never told him about it as didn't want him to lose hope, but a week later he now has the transplant and hopefully a healthy future ahead.

he got the transplant and is sedated in ICU, hopefully they will bring him out of sedation tomorrow and his recovery starts from then, he looked good today

it was, he was taken to theatre at 430am and was back out by midday, everything is looking good so far

we cant believe how quickly everything happened this time. I just want my brother to be well again and have another chance at a good life. we were also very aware that whilst we were happy that the was getting the chance somewhere there was a family grieving at losing a loved one

he is doing well in ICU, they will bring him out of sedation tomorrow and then start him on the anti rejection meds and his recovery
