Hi all. Quick update...after 13 hours in kings was told donor liver was not suitable

Got home to Christchurch 2am test

Yesterday Got another call early today so anther blue light ride in & am sat on Todd ward again. Will see if today is the day!!??

That's good news hope all goes well.

I had very similar journeys from Dorset almost 2 years ago. One false alarm, got home then the next night second call and it happened. Was in Todd too, they'll take good care of you.

Hi all

Sorry it took a while to update. The operation went ahead & although I had to have an additional procedure a few days ago I am now sat recovering going to go home next week

Thanks for your support & keep fighting this horrible disease

Got a small procedure on the wound today but am told I should be going home tomorrow or perhaps even today (I think they are desperate for beds.....they can have mine, its breaking my back!!)

Small procedure turned out a bit bigger than they thought. Looks like a few days delay in getting home but best get it right at this point

Hi, fab to hear your transplant went well and sorry to hear you needed to have a procedure done which has set back you going home. As you said though, best to get the 100% OK to go home.
