Ultrasound nausea.

Hey guys just wondering if any of you feel super nauseous after an ultrasound. Yesterday the scan took about 40 minutes and afterward I was desperately struggling not to heave everywhere

Yes, if the technician presses too hard on soft tissue for an extended period - especially if early in the day. How did you get on with your ultrasound? Anything new to report?

Thank you for the response. I was hoping it wasn't all in my head. I couldn't get her to tell me much except that my spleen is still the size of a Goodyear blimp

I'll meet with Hepotologist to discuss the result on January 8th

I didn't feel nauseous but when she pressed really hard and for several minutes on my spleen it was really painful. Hope your results are okay. Deb

Hi Phoenix

Like a lot of us I’ve had no end of USSs but never felt ill at all. They don’t call me a lucky lucker for nothing or did I Just not hear them right?

40 minutes is a long time, it could be down to the position you had lie in. Not exactly comfy . I'm thankful my dodgy ankle and hip are on my left, means I can lie on my right side for guided cortisone jabs. It hurts even on my comfy bed if I try to lie on my left side. Fingers crossed it was well worth it, bet you will be wishing these next few weeks away, Christmas or not Hazelx
