Just a big hug, and a place in my heart for all the people that have helped me, we know how hard it is to stop, but to me the hardest bit is now, keeping off it, but I have this determination to do it, just a new life without thinking about alcohol, concentrating on all the good things in my life.
To all of you that have taken the time to message me, I thank you, love you folks xx

Hey you keep it up it is hard to stay off it but when you think what else you can do with the money its all worth it. You've encouraged me to stay off it this time we can do it together im sure (brothers in arms) stay strong
Will do I did it before and will do it again i saved money up to ill be going to amsterdam for a break i used to live there in the 80s im gonna go back and see my old haunts lol thats my goal anyway take care
Hey congratulations, I've replied to you before and it seems like me the time was right for you. The hardest part I found was before I stopped and the panic of how would I cope, then it just happened and haven't looked back (that was over 3 years ago) Feel proud and stayed focused, a little tip is to think it will make you sick then even the thought of it will do the same. Good Luck xx
Thanks, every message contributes to me getting over this first hurdle, my determination is as stronger than it's ever been, it would be great to wake up and the 1st thought is alcohol.
You can do it, honestly you can. Keep strong and focused, mate, and keep in touch because we're all old hands at it. Not easy, no, but so worth it, take care.
I'm just so determined, got my family hoping I can do it this time, I think continued drink, will kill me, everytime i go out now I collapse, I can't remember anything about it, I just end up in hospital, but they are not tuned in to drinkers so we all suffer being labelled with the worst alcoholic, if you ask them for help, they say they don't do detox, it has to be done by your key worker and they say it's down to the hospital, your in a no win situation, I think that played a big part of stopping, as well as my family, I want them to believe in me, and I don't enjoy it anymore, it's just a means to an end.
You're in a win-win situation but it just doesn't look like it. You keep at it and you'll save your life, you'll gain a quality of life you'd forgotten existed but you'll also re-discover just how important your family's love is and you won't want to hurt them again, believe me. Stick with it, mate, take care
You can do it every day is another battle won, an some day you be able to go in a pub with friends and enjoy been sober and watching the antics around you ( fresh orange juice and tonic is my tipple when I go out) xx
You must keep fighting an try to keep your spirits up, yes super pleased for chelle hopefully if it went anything like mine it should be coming to an end soon x
You will be some much happier. No need to plan your day around booze. You can plan enjoyable things, be spontaneous and have a life worth getting up for ib the morning. Don't look back Jeff
I'm looking forward, a life without alcohol, all the temptation and stupid excuses to drink gone, it's stiĺl early days, but my determination stays with me.
I remember I thought it would be impossible. But with the right support from professionals, family and groups it can be done. It will get better and you will reap the benefits. Promise!
