Oh Ajeb75 I'm so, so sorry that you and your child have lost your loved one. I don't drink and my cirrhosis is due to autoimmune hepatitis but like you I want to shout and scream at people who are risking their lives for the sake of alcohol. I send you my deepest condolences and I hope you have friends and family to support you at this dreadful time. Deb 💔

I’m sincerely so very sorry and send you my deepest condolences. Yes, you are right in issuing such a stark but very honest opinion. Alcoholism is a disease, I am 15 months in recovery and 6 months transplanted. It’s an odd disease as you can get lots of great support to help to send into long term remission but ultimately it is you that is you that can finally beat it. Again, my deepest condolences.

I am so sorry for your loss. I can't imagine what you and your little boy are going though.

I have non alcohol related liver disease however my doctor told me to stop drinking, that was on Xmas eve, on New Years day I stopped drinking and although only 8 days in, I feel positive.

Thinking of you and sending lots of positive vibes. xx

I too am so sorry to hear this too Ajeb, you've been through so much and I'm so sorry. You are the second person that I know of who has lost a loved one to alcohol in just two months. If I had my way, I'd make everyone who has a drink problem to go and visit their local liver ward and see for themselves the damage that alcohol does. The same would apply to anyone caught drink driving too.

Although you may not realise it now, but please stay in touch with us here in the group. You have so much to offer others, and can be very supportive to those other people who are going through the same problems themselves. I have asked Laura009 to message you privately as I'm sure she can be of help at this most horrible of times.

Please accept our condolences too. We hope you can still find support on the forum.

Warm wishes
