Post transplant on aspirin and steroids I have had 2 veins bubble up this week on my hand and after an hour turned into a bruise just wondering if this has happened to anyone else??

Hi jojo . That does not look right. Im no expert and not post tx , but if you had knocked your wrist at any point then maybe that's why . I would get professional opinion. It may be due to the asprin thinning your blood 🤔x

I meant to put in I hadn't banged it lol if I had I wouldn't be a little worried about it. I am at doctors this morning for something else but will definitely be bringing this up just wanted to see if it had happened to anyone else 😊 ... Hope your ok hunni XXX

I had and still get regular bruising in all sorts of places without knowing how. When I've queried it i just get told its the Aspirin!! I did once get a black eye quite soon after my operation for no apparent reason that was fun trying to explain how that happened, people tend not believe when you just say 'i woke up with it' lol. I hope it is nothing serious and the Dr puts your mind st rest. Good luck and keep smiling 😁😁

I used to be on prednisone and had bruises from time to time. I think it is a recognised side effect. Check the leaflet you got with the med.

yes im post transplant and have had new veins come up on my feet and hands.. mentioned it to surgeon but he seemed uninterested....

have had some small bruises... but have put this down to asprin let me know if find anything out.

Just got back from the doctors he said it's the steroids was mentioned a knock you don't even notice can cause the bruising 😉
