Good morning. I am new to this page. I am currently about 6 months into investigations of lower right side pain tucked under my rib cage. Doctors have focused their efforts on the liver. I have had blood tests (enzyme readings slightly elevated around 70) , ultra sound (findings were a fatty and enlarged liver) and fibroscan today. Fibroscan reading was 8.0. Obviously I discussed as best I could severity of findings but of course they are busy and I felt I didn't get given much. Just wanted to see if anybody has had similar results and what they were told. Many thanks in advance.

Hi and welcome . Yes we'll fibro if 8 is f2 score. What's your lifestyle age etc. Do you drink alcohol and are you overweight? These are all factors in reducing fat in the liver. It can be sorted with diet abstinence and exercise.
This is the thing I can't understand. I am a healthy 37 year old, healthy eater, not over weight, I keep fit through crossfit and long distance running. I binged/partied hard 3 days a week aged 17-30 but have never been a casual drinker say 2 pints down the pub with a mate, it's always been all or nothing all my drinking life. Ultra sound showed enlarged fatty liver. I'm incredibly confused!!
Ok sounds like more investigation required. Binge drinking not great for the liver. I would knock it on the head for a couple of months. Enlarged liver could be something else causing it.
