Hello Everyone. I’m new to all of this so please bare with me. I went to the ER because I was having back pains at time. I was seen and given CT scan and results came back kidney stones and it showed lesion of the liver. The ER doctor stated to me he wasn’t concern at all that it wasn’t nothing. He showed it to me and it was very small. Told me to follow up with my regular doctor. After telling several family members about it. I begin to get scared because one member bust out and say. Oh my that maybe cancer .. which made me so furious. Went to my doctor they did blood work and ultrasound. They said I pass the kidney stones and they don’t see anything on my liver. They spend over an hour checking my whole body. I️ had kidney infection due to the stones. But other then that I’m not losing weight , eyes are not yellow. Really no symptoms but little worried. Which I try to put all my faith in God but I have a husband and kids . That I love so much i need to be healthy .To be here to raise my babies!! Can someone tell me has this happen to them ? I’m little worried I️ was ok when ultrasound showed nothing .Then I️ went back to worrying I’m also starting to juice today and start working out. That’s what my doctor told me to do. He’ll check back in 4 to 6 months with more test to keep a watch on it. Have anyone else been told they have lesion of the liver ?

If your GP has said not to worry then I would probably not worry. Kidney stones can pass quite easily and usually with little or no pain. I wouldn't worry too much about the lesions on your liver, they can appear and be nothing and if the GP isn't worried about it then I wouldn't be either. If it were cancer they would have told you or at least brought you back for further tests.

I would stick to a good diet, exercise where you can and stay positive. If the Doc's are having you back in 4-6 months then I would write down questions and take it from there.

I have Blood Cancer, Liver Cirrhosis and Portal Vein Thrombosis, currently waiting for a liver transplant but I am still working full time, still driving, still being part of my family as much and possible.

Live life and enjoy it and worry about the medical stuff when the doctors tell you there is something to worry about!

Good luck!

Thank you so much Chelle!! That’s what my husband said if it was cancer the ER doctor would’ve said that as well . My cholesterol has been up for the last cpl of months . I️ also had a CT scan before going to Punta Cana back in June. Wasn’t nothing there my husband thinks I’ve been taking to many over the counter supplements to lose weight. My body itches a lot but I was thinking it came . From me having lipo cause it started right after that . Sometimes it itches a lot and some days nothing. I️ started taking Milk thistle supplements along I’m trying to eat right . So I’m trying to get back on track ! I️ pray that you get your liver transplant soon. Thank you so much for you advice it really help me out a lot . This am because I️ need to learn how not to worry . As much and enjoy life more. !!

I definitely think you need to STOP taking the weight-loss supplements. Good diet and moving more is much safer....You have to remember all medications (herbal, over the counter prescribed by a doctor) they all have to go through your liver to be processed. That's along with alcohol and sugar and any fat in your diet....the liver takes a bit of a battering on a daily basis let along dealing with your slimming tablets too.....

Take care of yourself and your body - you only got one....you need to look after it! x

Oh I️ stop right away and trash everything !! Only thing I’m taking is Vitamins C , Biotion, Milk thistle that has turmeric in it. That’s it and doing green smoothie juicers. I’m not a person who drinks but wine. That’s occasionally never been a person to drink or do any kind of drugs !! I’m praying this lesion of the liver is gone Thank you

Oh ok !!! I’m praying that it doesn’t and my problem is reading. About the lesion if liver on the internet . So much I’m trying to stop doing that so much as well . Thank you have a Blessed day !

Hi,

With regards to milk thistle, The British Liver Trust does not recommend the use of homeopathic or herbal remedies for those with any liver problems as these have to be processed by the liver and can actually damage the liver and lead to severe illness.

More research needs to be done on the use and safety of such remedies and therapies.

Please see our page on Complementary & Alternative Medicines;

If you are considering using complementary or alternative remedies &/or therapies always discuss this with your doctor.

Best wishes,

Hi,

We cannot advise you whether or not to stop taking any medications or supplements, we would simply suggest that you have a discussion with your own doctors about the suitability of taking Complementary & Alternative Medicines. Your own doctors are best placed to safely advise you.

Best wishes,

Hi

I think you are doing the right thing talking to your doctor. It might be a good idea writing down what you take as supplements, what your worries are and asking about how to improve your diet and exercise safely to help your liver and kidneys. If you include what is good to drink as well you will be doing an excellent job of trying to look after yourself for you and your family. Knowing you are taking care of yourself as best you can may help reduce some of your worries. Reducing stress and having lots of laughter and happiness is also good for you.

I know I feel a lot more able to deal with things if I have time to do a bit of light reading before I go to sleep. Make sure I get a few hugs everyday from those I love and torment my husband at least twice a day. If I don't tease him he wants to know what's wrong, even if he does get frustrated with me at times, usually because my timing stinks. Still that gives me an extra reason to give a hug to say sorry. Him say no your not, and we both have a laugh.

Take care

Gx

Yes I’m trying to not to stress so much !! I truly believe it’s nothing wrong with me.’I believe when I go back my ultrasound will be the same nothing. But I’ve started juicing and eating more healthy . Working out too that’s my plan on out .I’m only taking my Vitamin C and hair vitamins . My doctor did called me and said all my blood work came back normal as well. So I’ll just wait till it’s time to repeat testes . Thank you so much

Milk thistle, golden milk (tumeric tea), Ceylon cinnamon (tea or in food), fresh blueberries (or extract), multivitamins are very powerful natural herbs and should be a part of a daily diet. Vitamin C is okay, but go with multivitamins. Also look into fish oil.

You may want to do a super juice cleanse once a month by going on a 3-7 day diet of beets juice mixed with kale, raw apple cider vinegar, ginger, lemon and real honey and restricted to eating dark greens, fruits and lots of water during the day.

Thank you I use to take Milk thistle before heard it’s really good for the liver. I use to take fish oil as well my doctor . Told me to juice and get back to walking and working out. My mind is still all over the place but I’m praying. Everything is normal like my ultrasound showed. I use to do teaspoon of the brags apple cider vinegar with water, cayenne pepper and honey. I’m trying to get back on track !!
